Puzzled Parents was started in 2007 by Amy and a group of 5 parents in East County San Diego. These 5 parents were driven by the need for support and resources for their special needs and disabled children.
Puzzled Parents is a small, friendly, informal group of parents, grandparents, and friends that gather to discuss issues, get help and most importantly get support from others who understand what it is like to have a family member that is disabled.
We have several activites such as workshops, kickball games, and meetings in the park. Annually we have a Friends and Family Day themed picnic. At the celebration you can meet extended family, have a raffle, talk to future and past guests, and have fun!
Since some of our members are military or formerly in the military we have many resources and information for our military families in and around the San Diego area.
So that all our families can enjoy the many benefits our group provides we encourage all family members, significant others, and siblings to our meetings. We have a Provider (background checked/CPR/First Aid certified) that will take care of all the children during our meetings for a very small fee.
