About Puzzled Parents
Puzzled Parents was founded in April 2007 by Amy & a group of parents with special needs children living in East County, San Diego. This group of five parents had one common goal - to find resources & services for their children & support for themselves.
The children that this group supports have all kinds of special needs & disabilities.
Because our President has military experience we also have resources & information for our local military families.
We also have guest speakers from different local agencies (such as the Regional Center, TASK, & UCP) & we continue to schedule others based on the needs of the group.
Each year we celebrate our continued success by having a Family & Friends Day Picnic. These themed picnics are a great way to talk to past and future guests, meet our extended families and enjoy!
We don't want anyone to miss out on support, information or resources so family members & siblings can also come to the meetings! In order for all our children (& their siblings) to enjoy themselves
during activities we have the support of a certified Recreational Therapist who makes our activities accessible to the children regardless of their disability. We also have a certified Respite Provider with extensive special needs experience available to provide childcare at all our regular meetings for a very small fee.
